Breaking Down The Masked Singer's New Characters — Plus, Who Was Revealed?

Another one bites the dust! During the Wednesday, February 19, episode of The Masked Singer, host Nick Cannon introduced the judges to six new singers: Banana, Elephant, Kitty, Taco, Mouse and Frog.

Not only did Group B up the game when it came to the mysterious clues — we’ll get to those — Fox upped the costume game with the new characters. As a catch-up, three characters from Group A have moved on to the final round: White Tiger (believed to be Rob Gronkowski), Kangaroo (most likely Jordyn Woods) and Turtle (my guess is Jesse McCartney). Group A also sent three stars packing — Drew Carey, Lil’ Wayne and Chaka Khan.

So, who will impress Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke from the second group? One word: Everyone. Group B is a bit more energetic than the first group and the judges had some pretty great guesses.

However, some of the performers clearly threw their voice — and maybe threw off the judges. The taco had a high-pitched voice in his video and when he spoke to the judges after his performance. However, while singing, he did not have that. So, was it someone famous for throwing their voice like a comedian?

“The weirdest thing about this experience is being ignored by everyone because I don’t know who I am. For the first time I feel invisible,” he said after he sang, clearly making a joke and pretending to get choked up.

The Banana also seemed to be doing an impression of Elvis when he was performing, but the judges could tell that he may have had a slight southern accent.

Frog

During this video, a newspaper was shown and multiple references to running were made. He said the quote "as fast as a lightning bolt" and added that he "never had a chance to evolve my image and do things my way." There were also "leftovers" in a brown paper bag. A sign for the 1996 Olympics was also shown, zooming in on the 1000 meter. Plus, three bills were hanging over a ledge: a $100, a $5 and a $1

The obvious guess seemed to be Michael Johnson, who was nicknamed Lightning Bolt in the 1996 Olympics.

Kitty

The tiny kitty — McCarthy told Scherzinger that she's the "size of one our thighs" — crushed her performance. During her video, she said the show is "a little bit of Heaven where I can wipe the slate clean and be pure as snow." She admitted that she is lonely because people think of her as who she used to be, not who she is now. The video also included pirates and a crashing rose. She also said no one has seen her like this before.

Guesses include Julianne Hough, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

Taco

In his video, the taco went inside a kitchen, said he was a "comforting part of your lives for decades," and is in a good place. The video featured a pile of VHS tapes, a Rubik's cube, an anchor and a San Francisco trolly.

Guesses included Regis Philbin, Martin Short and Bob Saget. (Saget would make sense: Full House is based in San Francisco, and he hosted America's Funniest Videos.)

Mouse

While she's tiny, the mouse is standing on a tire on a football field in her video, speaking through a megaphone. She's always been "leader" in her field and she "wrote the playbook." There was also a white board with a play on it, titled"Bang Bang Formation." The football players were wearing Warriors jerseys with the numbers 19 and 79 on the back. After her performance, she said she's a "chatterbox."

Guesses included Darlene Love, Dionne Warwick and Maya Rudolph.

Elephant

"I went from canvassing park benches to leading the charge of a massive movement, even parading through white houses," the elephant said in his clue package, which included bluebirds, a giant sign for a bicycle, and two store windows — one for Jessica's flowers and another for art supplies. He also revealed he was "a calf" when he started and played the drums.

Guesses included Lance Armstrong, Travis Barker, Tommy Lee.

Unforurtnatley, the Elephant was the first eliminated. The judges' final guesses were Travis Pastrana, Steve Aoki, Beto O'Rourke and Armstrong. Ultimately, they were all wrong and the Elephant was revealed to be Tony Hawk.

The Masked Singer airs on Fox Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
