Season 16 of The Bachelorette is less than two weeks away — and ABC is finally giving Us a closer look at Clare Crawley ’s (and Tayshia Adams ) suitors. Chris Harrison introduced the 31 men competing for Clare’s heart on the reality TV series on Tuesday, September 29. While some of the contestants were part of the original lineup, released in March before the coronavirus pandemic forced the network to postpone production, other suitors were introduced for the first time on Tuesday. Us Weekly confirmed in August that Clare, 39, stopped filming season 16 at the La Quinta resort in Palm Springs early because she was in love with one of her suitors. ABC subsequently called in Tayshia, 30, to pick up where she left off. “We saw a lot of people on set. Becca [Kufrin] and JoJo [Fletcher] and Wells [Adams] was on set,” the host told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, playing coy. “We brought a lot of friends in to help us out this season.” While Wells was spotted bartending on set

Song Lyrics Inspired by Celebrity Breakups

From John Mayer and Taylor Swift to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake , Us Weekly is revising the most famous song lyrics inspired by celebrity breakups. Swift, for her part, has always been open about her writing about her ex-boyfriends. “If guys don’t want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn’t do bad things,” the Grammy winner infamously quipped in 2009. Following high-profile romances with Mayer, Joe Jonas, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Hiddleston, Swift settled down with boyfriend Joe Alwyn . As a result, she started finding inspiration from other people’s relationships. “I found myself not only writing my own stories, but also writing about or from the perspective of people I’ve never met, people I’ve known, or those I wish I hadn’t,” Swift explained in the album notes of her eighth studio album, Folklore , in 2020. “Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history and memory. I’d told these stories to the best of my abi

Gwyneth Paltrow in Titanic ? Brad Pitt in Almost Famous ? Some of the most iconic roles in film and TV could have looked very different had they gone to the original casting choices. Before Billy Crudup brought Stillwater singer Russell Hammond to life in the 2000 music drama, director Cameron Crowe had his eye on Pitt, who was “just starting out” in his now-legendary career. “He just really had something,” Crowe gushed during the premiere episode of the “Origins: Almost Famous Turns Twenty” podcast in July 2020. Casting director Gail Levin agreed, noting that the Ad Astra star was clearly the team’s “first choice” for the character. “We loved that idea and he was Brad Pitt,” Levin explained on the podcast. “I mean, he was funny and handsome and talented. … That kind of charisma and screen presence would’ve been really, really great for that part.” While Pitt nailed his audition — and had Crowe “rolling on the floor” in laughter — it just wasn’t the perfect fit for that momen
